Nice straight forward day today. +$1382 trading KOOL and UNIS.
KOOL I completely missed in my scans this morning, but thanks to @madaznfootballr mentioning KOOL in his watch list this AM I caught the play. I started shorting into the big run up in the AM. I admit however, I did get a little nervous when it held VWAP and broke the HOD after the pull. I stuck to my plan though and covered into the pulls below VWAP. I hung on to 1/5 of my position, hoping for a brake down to 3.80, but decided to cover those last shares when it kept holding 4. Ultimately it did brake down further but I don’t regret playing it safe.
UNIS was a big miss for me despite the small gain. I first shorted after the morning run around 3.10, but it then spiked .30 and made a new HOD. I did not like my average after the spike and how this was trading so I took it off for these small gains. Where I really missed out was shorting in the 3.30’s late afternoon. I sat there telling myself to short, but just did not pull the trigger. I let fear of loosing some of my gains today if I was wrong influence my trading decision on this. As a result, I missed a great pull below VWAP that could have put me over 2K in profits today.
Went and bought a laptop today for trading. Working on getting a set up together I can use to trade while I travel. I’ll post details on my set up once I have that all together. I’m excited to get something put together that will allow me to be mobile!
No screen shot of charts or P&L today. I had to leave right before the close and did not get back home until after 11pm. By that time CenterPoint takes all the trade arrows off the charts and re-sets the P&L.
