-$1155 today trading CTRV. It got the best of me but sloppy trading on my part.
CTRV basically sized in to big to quickly. I missed the big ramp because I was away from my computer. Came back and saw CTRV trying to brake down through VWAP. I jumped in and started adding big, not wanting to miss more of the wash. Big mistake! Should have taken a second to assess the situation. But because I sized in big quickly I got stopped out on the bounce off VWAP. Man, I know better! I tried short again with big size after stopping out and it stuffed. But then it stalled in the 2.50s. It was soaking BIG TIME at that price so I eventually covered for small gains. It was 50/50 imo at this point if it would push higher or crack. I knew that which ever way it did go it would be fast. Sure enough it cracked and snapped hard, but I was out. Missed my opportunity to make back all my losses and then some. The thing that stinks as well is that I saw the bid on level II thin up right before the big crack. I thought about getting back in but didn’t do it.
I tried short again on the pop after the crack and it started soaking again big time at 2.30 so I covered for small gains. Late in the afternoon I wanted to get short again when it popped but it only popped to 2.40’s I was sitting at 2.50’s. So I missed the pull again to 2.20. All in all very frustrating.
